By age five he was already fishing, and by eight he was confidently piloting powerboats along the Cape coastline. This early foundation ignited a lifelong passion for the sea and laid the groundwork for a professional career as a charter captain. Today, Nicholas combines years of maritime experience with a natural enthusiasm for sharing the ocean with others.

Nicholas brings a well-rounded skill set to his role on board. He is a certified Divemaster and accomplished sailor with extensive experience in sport fishing, seamanship, and guest operations. His resume reflects a strong background in both hands-on technical work and guest services, making him equally adept at leading snorkeling adventures, navigating challenging waters, or ensuring every detail of the guest experience is handled with professionalism. His approach balances safety and skill with warmth and approachability, which makes him a standout choice for charter operations.

Over the past 15 years, he has honed a style that blends precision with creativity, always elevating simple, quality ingredients into thoughtful, memorable meals tailored to his guests.

Vaughn’s experience spans a wide range of hospitality environments. From preparing elegant breakfasts in boutique guesthouses to serving as a private butler/chef in exclusive estates, he understands the importance of detail, presentation, and service. On board yachts, he brings the same professionalism and warmth, creating customized menus that reflect both destination and guest preference. His foundation in food hygiene, mixology, and formal service further supports his ability to deliver a seamless, elevated charter dining experience.

Beyond the galley, Vaughn offers a unique advantage: he is also a trained deckhand and AV/IT specialist.
